Stop renting your tools. Start owning them.
The modern software industry has fallen in love with the subscription model. It’s great for their profit margins. It’s absolutely terrible for you.
You have to pay every month, or every year, to "rent" a piece of software from a vendor. They raise the price at their whim, and if you decide not to pay, all of your data is deleted. For every additional year that you pay, the vendor has another year of your data to use as a hostage.
We aren't fans of renting software.
We built The Contract Board to return to a simpler, more respectful model: You buy it, you own it.
The "SaaS Trap" we refuse to set
We’ve all been there. You sign up for a tool, integrate it into your workflow, and then the trap springs:
- trending_upPrice Hikes: The price goes up 10% every year, and you have no choice but to pay it.
- group_addThe Growth Penalty: You hire a new employee, and suddenly your software bill jumps. Hire a ton of new employees? Your "per user" fees shoot to the moon.
- lock_clockData Hostage: If you stop paying the monthly rent (or annual rent), you lose access to your own historical data.
Renting software does not benefit you, only the vendor
Companies need stability, security, and predictability. The rental model undermines all three. Our model restores them.
- check_circleBudget Certainty: Pay once. No surprise renewals or budget approval fights next fiscal year.
- check_circleUnlimited Users: Our software comes with an enterprise-wide license. Grant access to every single current employee in your org. And then grant access to every future employee you ever have. Does your organization use contractors and agents? No worries at all. They get access too.
- check_circleYou Are In Control: When you rent software, you constantly run the risk of the vendor playing "pricing games" with forced upgrades because they are sunsetting the current product and want to push you to a higher price tier. Don't play "pricing games" with vendors. It's a strange game. The only winning move is not to play.
Eliminate third-party data risk
When you use SaaS, you are storing sensitive internal company data on a server you don't control, owned by a vendor you barely know. You're not doing that with our software product, because you host it. We don't host.
- policyCompliance Made Easy: No need to ask us for a SOC2 report. All your data stays in your data center, or inside your server room, completely behind your firewall.
- shieldImmune to Vendor Hacks: When a major SaaS provider gets hacked, thousands of customers are compromised instantly. By self-hosting, you don't have to worry about the Vendor's cybersecurity, or lack thereof.
Friends don't let friends rent software.
One price. Unlimited users. Yours forever.
